El aguante is performed in Spanish at Teatro Rialto in Valencia from 21 to 31 January 2027. In a country cottage in Villa María, Manuel puts the finishing touches to a play honouring his mother, Marta, a famous actress living in Madrid; she arrives with her boyfriend Toni, a playwright who has not written since his husband died. The performance includes a radical version of La gaviota by Chéjov.
