Virtual Reality Exhibition on the Solar Eclipse in Valencia
Discover the secrets of a solar eclipse at the virtual reality show at Las Naves from July 20 to August 31 and get ready for the next one.
The show runs until 31 August at Las Naves, the city council's social and urban innovation centre, housed in old industrial sheds in Poblats Marítims, the district behind the port. It is indoors and air-conditioned, which in a Valencian August outweighs everything else on the listing: at six in the evening the street is still hot, and this is one of the few things in the port district that does not involve standing in the sun.
What it is, and what to check first
It is a virtual-reality exhibition about how a solar eclipse works, not a room of text panels. Our source does not give the length of a session, the capacity, the price, or whether you need to book a slot. Those are exactly the details you want if you are bringing children or arriving as a group, so check them on the official page before crossing the city.
If the subject interests you beyond the visit, we have a guide to the total solar eclipse of 12 August 2026 in València and one on eclipses visible from València.
Getting there without a car
Joan Verdeguer 16 sits between the Grau and the harbour. Metrovalencia lines 5, 6, 7 and 8 and several EMT bus routes serve the area, and the cycle path along the old riverbed runs almost the whole way from the centre to the sea. Street parking here at a weekend is a lost half-hour. Getting around València explains tickets and passes.
Make an evening of it
You are a short walk from El Cabanyal, the old fishermen's quarter of low tiled houses, and from Les Arenes beach. Two local habits worth knowing: most small shops shut from roughly two until five, and dinner does not really begin before nine. Book the exhibition for late afternoon and let the evening take care of itself. More in what to do in València in August.
