Exhibition «València Queer» at the City Museum
Enjoy the collective exhibition of contemporary LGTBIQ+ art at the City Museum, which runs through nine rooms with painting, sculpture, photography, textile art and immersive installations. The exhibition, «València Queer. Contemporary Artistic Identities», is open from June 25 to August 30, 2026, and is part of the 2026 Gay Games.
Only days left: it runs until 30 August. The show fills nine rooms of the Museu de la Ciutat, the Palau del Marqués de Campo, on Plaça de l'Arquebisbe, and brings together painting, sculpture, photography, textile art and installations you walk into. Our source places it within the programme of the 2026 Gay Games.
Price, and why Sunday changes the plan
Standard entry 2 €, reduced 1 €, and free on Sundays and public holidays, according to the published information. This is not a visit that demands a whole morning: nine rooms in a palace take about an hour at a comfortable pace, and at that price it is worth stepping in even with a spare hour before lunch. Check exact opening hours on the official page — August schedules in Spain often differ from the rest of the year.
Where it is
Plaça de l'Arquebisbe is behind the cathedral, in the most walkable part of Ciutat Vella. You get there on foot from anywhere in the old town; do not attempt it by car. The building alone earns the ticket — an 18th-century town palace turned municipal museum. Details on our Museu de la Ciutat page.
What to link it with
Two streets away is the cathedral, and under the adjoining square, the Almoina museum of the Roman city. Five minutes further on, the Plaza Redonda — circular, covered, small — is a quick stop worth making. If Sunday is your free day, our list of free museums in València is the one to open: several waive admission the same day.
