Homage to Queen in València

Worth saying plainly: this is a tribute show, not the original band. "God Save the Queen" runs through Queen's biggest songs, from the group's beginnings in 1973 to Freddie Mercury's death, and it is built for the audience to sing along — the announced set includes "A Kind of Magic", "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You". Who it suits

A tribute in an arena works differently from a band touring its own record: everything is a song you know, there is no filler, and people sing from the first bar. It handles a mixed-age group well — parents and teenagers at the same show. It also falls on a Thursday, so the crowd leaving afterwards is calmer than a weekend night.

Getting to Roig Arena without a car

The Roig Arena is in Quatre Carreres, south-east of the old town, near the Ciutat de les Arts complex. Metro or city bus, then the last ten minutes on foot, is the cleanest way in and out: you avoid several thousand people trying to drive away at once.
