Mediterránea Triatló València 'Gay Games Edition' 2026
The Mediterránea Triatló València 'Gay Games Edition' 2026 (MTRI València) takes place on 27 and 28 June 2026 at Malvarrosa beach in València, organised by the Federació de Triatló de la Comunitat Valenciana as the official triathlon competition of the Gay Games XII València 2026. Saturday features the Sprint distance (0.75 km swim, 21 km bike and 4.8 km run) and a wave-based Family Duathlon; Sunday hosts the Olympic distance (1.5/36/9.7 km) and the Supersprint (0.40/7.2/3 km), plus Paratriathlon. The course combines an open-water swim in the sea, cycling along the city's main avenues and a run along the seafront promenade. Because of the Gay Games, there are dedicated classifications for men, women and all genders, in categories from Junior to Veterans IV, in an event that champions diversity, equality and inclusion. Registration opened on 26 February 2026, with the Olympic distance starting at €45 for federated athletes and €55 for non-federated athletes, rising over later registration periods. Entry includes a race pack, finisher medal, aid stations, recovery services, photos and a video summary.
