Territorios en tránsito / Solo dúo: Anna Talens & Mar Guerrero
"Territorios en tránsito / Solo dúo: Anna Talens & Mar Guerrero", subtitled "Entre el faro y el abismo" ("Between the Lighthouse and the Abyss"), is the exhibition presented by the IVAM at its Centre Julio González in València, curated by Alicia Ventura. It brings together around thirty works by artists Anna Talens (Carcaixent, 1978) and Mar Guerrero (Mallorca, 1991), who invite us to think of the sea not as a boundary but as territory: a living, changing body that acts as an archive of political, historical, aesthetic and emotional memory. Mar Guerrero transforms waste collected from the ocean —eroded plastics and driftwood— into sculptures that bear witness to transit and pollution, while Anna Talens explores the horizon as a perceptual and spiritual experience, on the threshold between the visible and the invisible. The show is part of the "Territorios en tránsito / Solo dúo" cycle, a platform for dialogue between artists from different contexts staged across two venues, and will later travel to Es Baluard (Palma). It can be visited until 28 June 2026, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00 (closed Mondays).
