What Buñol is, and how to reach it

Buñol is a small inland town about 40 km west of València, up the A-3 corridor. It is famous for one thing — La Tomatina, the tomato fight held on the last Wednesday of August — and it is otherwise quiet. Renfe's C-3 commuter line (València–Utiel) stops there, and there are buses from València's main bus station. The getting-home problem

This is the part visitors underestimate. A gig that ends at two or three in the morning does not line up with the last commuter train, and taxis in a small inland town at that hour are not something to rely on. Either arrange a car with a driver who isn't drinking, or plan to stay overnight nearby.
