MIAU (Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano)
An open-air museum created in 2014 on the initiative of a group of neighbours. The inhabitants offer their façades to artists from all over Spain, who live and collaborate with them. Every July it brings together well-known and unknown artists and adds disciplines such as sculpture, performance, video, dance, music and workshops.
The MIAU, Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano, was born in 2014 on the initiative of a group of neighbours in Fanzara and is an open-air museum. The inhabitants offer their façades to artists from all over Spain, with whom they live and collaborate during their stay. Every year, in July, the project receives unknown and renowned artists. Alongside the mural work, other disciplines are added, such as sculpture, performance, video, dance, music and workshops. That mixture of formats and the involvement of the neighbourhood explain the open and changing character of the museum.
