Paraje del Molino (zona de baño)
Meadow with picnic tables beside a calm Mijares stretch, in the official bathing census. Playa Molino and Playa Puente for summer swims.
The Paraje del Molino is a riverside meadow with picnic tables beside a calm stretch of the Mijares river, outside Cirat, in the Alto Mijares. It is the village family swim: calm water, shade and somewhere to eat without leaving the riverbed.
The swim
The Cirat tourist office names two bathing areas on the Mijares, Playa Puente and Playa Molino, meant for cooling off in the hot summer months. The Paraje del Molino also appears in the Valencian government's inland bathing-waters census, with water quality rated good. Access is direct from the village centre, a short stroll to the bank.
The surroundings
Cirat rounds off the day with more water plans: the 9 pools of the Salinas ravine, from La Bañera to La Caldereta, where summer bathing mixes with the caution a ravine demands, and the Salto de la Novia, a waterfall in open nature. To extend the route, the Chillapájaros straits lie upstream and the Arenós reservoir closes the valley.

- Arrive early in July and August: the tables go fast at weekends.
- Bring water shoes, the Mijares riverbed is rounded stone.
- Take all litter home: everyone keeps the site clean.
- Drive there, on the CV-20; the village is about 80 minutes from València.
