Ruta de los Barrancos de Sesga (PR-CV 131.9)
Waymarked PR-CV 131.9 (19.9 km, 6 h) from the hamlet of Sesga through the Vall del Agua and Vallurgo ravines. Springs, mills and farmhouses between pines and riverside woods.
The Sesga Ravines Route is the waymarked PR-CV 131.9, a homologated trail with positive quality control that crosses some of the most unusual landscapes of the Rincón de Ademuz. It follows the ramblas of La Vall and Riodeva and the ravines of Vall del Agua and Vallurgo, where riverside vegetation contrasts with pine woods and Mediterranean slopes, and it passes a rich rural heritage of mills, farmhouses and fountains.
The itinerary
The walk starts in the hamlet of Sesga, heading north to enter the Vall del Agua ravine, and reaches the Fuente del Enebro after 900 metres. It continues down to the remains of the Molino de los Cuchillos, climbs the Rambla de la Vall past its recreation area, and crosses Mas del Olmo to the Fuente del Mal Paso and its rest area. The second half descends to the Escareluela ravine, passes the Fuente de la Cueva, and follows the Riodeva rambla to the village of Torre Alta. The federation sheet gives 19.9 km and 6 hours, ending far from the start, so the return needs planning.
Tips
- This is a full-day mountain walk: start early, carry water and food, and set a turnaround time.
- Follow the white and yellow waymarks; the stretch by the Escareluela narrows and climbs the left slope where the bed turns rough.
- You need a car: Sesga is a remote hamlet and the route ends in Torre Alta, not where it starts.
- Pair it with the Bohilgues river trail, the other great riverside walk of the district.
