In Sueca, the Serrano theatre is a Valencian art-deco theatre built in 1934-1935 to plans by Juan Guardiola, the architect of the Ateneo facade. Its geometric interiors survive with the original 1930s layout.
History
The theatre rose in the 1930s as the town stage for plays, cinema and concerts. Guardiola gave it the stepped art-deco lines of the period.

The facade and, when the programme allows, the hall and stage box. Visits follow the performance agenda, so check it before going. It closes the old-town route with the San Pedro church and the Pascual Fos house.
