The Torre Altomira is a watch and communications tower listed as a Site of Cultural Interest under code 12.07.081-002. It stands about one kilometre from the town centre, in the Altomira area, and has a truncated-cone plan topped with battlements. Its elevated position linked it visually with other fortifications in the surroundings. From the tower the Torre de Mal Paso de Castellnovo can be seen, which confirms the role of control and signal transmission the building once had. The tower is therefore a key piece for understanding the defensive and communications system of this part of the province.
