Castielfabib, about 108 km from València, is a fortress-village of the Rincón de Ademuz with under 300 residents. It is called the little Albarracín for its rock and its houses hanging above the Ebrón valley.

The castle crowns the rock with the Torreta keep and the walled enclosure. The Los Ángeles church-fortress is reached through El Carrerón, the tunnel under the castle. Below, by the river, the roofless 14th-century Franciscan San Guillermo convent and the 14th-century Gothic Virgen de Gracia chapel. The cultural walls route links viewpoints such as Villa Vieja and El Moral.

The signposted walls route links the castle, the church-fortress and the Villa Vieja and El Moral viewpoints above the Ebrón. The river convent is left for last, downhill from the rock.

Local tip

Climb to the castle rock first, then walk down to the river convent. At sunset, the Ebrón viewpoints face the setting sun.
