Meliana, about 7 km from València, is a town of l'Horta Nord with about 11,000 residents. Its name goes with mosaic: in 1862 Miguel Nolla set up a large factory here with technique brought from England.

The Palauet Nolla, mansion of Miguel Nolla also called Villa Ivonne, is restored and visited at weekends. The 17th-century Santos Juanes church anchors the centre. The 17th-century Misericordia hermitage, with its ceramic altarpiece, opens for the main festivities of 11-14 September.

The Palauet Nolla is visited at weekends with a guide and hours confirmed at the town hall; church and hermitage are seen on foot the same day. The main festivities of 11-14 September open the Misericordia and fill the town. The market gardens of l'Horta Nord surround the old quarter on all sides.

Local tip

Palauet at the weekend with hours confirmed at the town hall; centre and hermitage on foot the same day.
