Tuéjar, about 65 km from València, is an Alto Turia village with about 1,100 residents, between Chelva and Titaguas. It shares the Ruta del Agua trail network with Chelva and Calles.

The 17th-century Baroque Ángeles church, on the Il Gesù model, is a national historic-artistic monument. The Purisima chapel is recorded since 1595 north of the old centre. The San Cristóbal chapel, in the upper town, is now an exhibition hall and viewpoint. The Santos gate is the standing remnant of the walled enclosure.

Church and chapels are seen in the village in the morning, with the Santos gate as remnant of the wall. In the afternoon, the Turia riverside paths and the Ruta del Agua network with Chelva and Calles stretch the day. The Peña Cortada trail starts toward Chelva.
