VoluntariJazz Cycle
Enjoy a great jazz concert cycle with "VoluntariJazz" at the Botanical Garden of Valencia alongside Sedajazz. The concert cycle is dedicated to paying tribute to the value of volunteering. The programming includes several concerts with different groups and jazz styles.
The cycle starts on 11 September 2026 at the Botanical Garden of the University of València, Carrer Quart 80, and its calendar extends into December. It is run with Sedajazz, the Valencian jazz collective, and is dedicated to recognising volunteer work. Each date has its own group and its own strand of jazz, so check the official page for who is playing when. Tickets start at €8 — cheap by the standards of a ticketed concert here.
What a concert in the Botànic is like
This is not a festival site. It is a working university garden with very large old trees and real shade, and that shows in how the music sits: you hear it close up, with the traffic on Carrer Quart muffled behind the walls. September evenings are comfortable outdoors; from October the temperature drops as soon as the sun goes, so bring long sleeves for an autumn date. Check on the official page whether the concert ticket also covers a walk round the garden, and what time the gates open.
Getting there
The entrance is on Carrer Quart, beside the Torres de Quart, one of the two surviving medieval city gates, and on the edge of the Carme quarter, the oldest part of València. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the centre, and the Túria and Àngel Guimerà metro stations are nearby. Parking around here is difficult and there is little reason to try.
If you like the format
València does the same thing on a larger scale in summer at the Viveros gardens — see the Viveros concerts guide. For the rest of the city's green space, the gardens and parks guide covers which ones are worth a detour.
