The Waterboys Concert in València
The British band The Waterboys will offer their only concert of the year in Spain at the Roig Arena in Valencia on September 3, 2026, performing their iconic album Fisherman's Blues. Additionally, singer-songwriter Steve Earle will join as a special guest.
The Waterboys play the Roig Arena on 3 September 2026, and it is their only concert of the year in Spain — there is no second date to fall back on.
What they are playing
The British band perform Fisherman's Blues, their landmark album, with singer-songwriter Steve Earle joining as special guest. Tickets start from €55. Start time, doors and running order are published on the venue's official site; check on the day, because at an arena of this size the gap between arriving comfortably and missing the opening half hour is one long queue.
Getting to the Roig Arena, and getting back
The venue is at Carrer Bomber Ramón Duart 12, in the Quatre Carreres district south-east of the centre, near the Ciutat de les Arts. Metro and tram stops are within walking distance and are the best way in. The return is the catch: a full arena leaves at once, and the metro does not run through the night. Check the last service before the encore. Lines and frequencies are in getting around València; if you are driving, see where to park in València.
Before the show
Early September in València is still summer in every practical sense, so there is time for the whole afternoon. The Science Museum and the Oceanogràfic are next door, and you can walk the dry Turia riverbed park from the centre right to the venue. Eat before, not after: kitchens here start closing around 23:00 and a post-concert dinner is mostly a myth. Dependable places are in where to eat tapas in València. Coming in for the date? Where to stay in València saves you from booking somewhere with no late connection home.
