More plans that weekend
What's on this weekend in València →Turisme Carraixet has opened the call for entries for the new edition of the Miradors de l’Horta festival. Under the motto “Generació conscient, connectant amb la terra”, the design and culture festival will take place during October in the fields of the municipalities of Alfara del Patriarca, Bonrepòs i Mirambell, Foios and Vinalesa. The festival circuit will include professional installations and works created by design school students.
Miradors de l'Horta is a design and culture festival in the open air spread across the fields of Alfara del Patriarca, Bonrepòs i Mirambell, Foios and Vinalesa, municipalities in the l'Horta Nord region, in the metropolitan area of Valencia. The circuit of installations is planned between 13 October and 8 November 2026, with no set visiting hours outside those dates. This edition is organised under the theme «Generació conscient, connectant amb la terra» and combines professional-standard installations with others created by students from different schools.
A festival among crop fields
The concept places artistic and design installations directly across the agricultural landscape of l'Horta Nord, a region of vegetable gardens, irrigation channels and traditional farmhouses that surrounds Valencia to the north and retains much of its traditional farming activity despite its proximity to the city. Turisme Carraixet, the organisation behind the festival, brings together several of these municipalities under a single cultural and tourism project. For access prices, possible advance registration and the exact route, it is worth checking the organisation's website before heading to the area.
Other towns in l'Horta Nord
The four municipalities hosting the festival are in the same region as other destinations already covered in this guide:
- Alboraya, another l'Horta Nord municipality with its own guide.
- Cómo llegar a los pueblos cerca de Valencia sin coche, useful for getting around small municipalities in the metropolitan area.
- Pueblos bonitos cerca de Valencia, with more options for day trips near the city.
