In October, València combines the end of summer with the year's biggest festival: the 9th is Día de la Comunitat Valenciana, with the traditional Processó Cívica and the lowering of the Senyera, and the weather still tends to bring mild afternoons. The concert calendar centres on the Roig Arena, with names like Vetusta Morla, Jorge Drexler and Morat, while Manises hosts its Mercado Medieval on the 16th and the historic centre fills with troupes for the Fiesta de Moros y Cristianos.
