Explore València with the "València Art & Design Walks" tour, a two-and-a-half-hour guided walk that covers galleries, design spaces, and urban art. The routes take place on Fridays and Saturdays between September 11th and December 19th, 2026, with an expert guide and surprises like tastings or local products.
This is a guided walk, not an exhibition: two and a half hours on foot through galleries, design spaces and street art, with a guide explaining what you are looking at. It runs on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 September to 19 December 2026, and costs 32 € per person. The organisers say the route also includes extras along the way, such as tastings or local products.
Who it suits
It works best if you have already done the obvious València and want a different layer: the small-gallery circuit, the studios, the murals that get repainted every season and never make it into a printed guide in time. It also works as a first afternoon for someone who has just arrived and would rather walk with company. Two and a half hours standing is a lot for small children — València with kids has gentler options.
Where the art actually is
The meeting point and the exact route are confirmed when you book, so check the official page for those. For context on the city: much of the scene sits between El Carme, the old-town barrio where the street art concentrates and where the Centre del Carme is, and Ruzafa, full of galleries and design shops at street level. The IVAM sits on the edge of El Carme; Bombas Gens is further north.
Practical notes for visitors
Wear flat shoes: the old town is uneven cobble throughout. In September the midday sun is still strong — a hat and water are not optional — while from October the risk shifts to a short, heavy downpour. One local habit worth knowing: many small independent shops and some galleries close in the early afternoon and reopen around five, so an afternoon walk hits them at the right time.
