In addition to a lot of stalls where you can try and buy delicious food and crafts, you will have the opportunity to get to know local and eco-products from this region full of plans. And of course, you can take a few apples home! Plans are also being organized.
The twelfth edition of the Feria de la Manzana Esperiega, organised by the El Rincón de Ademuz region, takes place this year in Casas Bajas, in the Plaza del Rey Don Jaime, from 20 to 22 November 2026. Stalls from the region offer agrifood products and crafts centred on the manzana esperiega, a traditional local variety, along with other local and organic products. The fair rotates each year among the different municipalities of the Rincón de Ademuz, and this twelfth edition falls to Casas Bajas; entry is not free, though the fee can be confirmed on the official website before your visit.
The Rincón de Ademuz is an inland region, an enclave of Valencia province surrounded by territory belonging to Cuenca and Teruel, quite far from the city of Valencia, so it is worth planning your trip well in advance. Its altitude and mountain climate, very different from those of the Valencian coast, explain the traditional cultivation of apple trees in the area over generations, and fairs like this help keep that local production alive in the face of large-scale agriculture. Casas Bajas is one of the smallest municipalities in the region, and events like this tend to concentrate much of the town's life throughout the entire weekend.
The guide to pretty villages near Valencia and the one on day trips from Valencia serve as reference for planning an outing to inland regions, and the guide on how to reach villages without a car is useful for those without their own transport.
