In 2018, the City Council approved its rehabilitation to turn it into an interpretation center for rice cultivation. It is an Asset of Local Relevance with identifier 46.16.022-006. It was built with a defense mission, as the sentry box and battlements proved. In 2018, the municipal plenary session approved its rehabilitation as an interpretive center for rice cultivation. It appears on the Hispania Nostra Red List as heritage in danger. It is located on Carrer dels Furs, Alfafar.
