The Castell de Pulpís is a fortified enclosure of which remains survive, located on the summit of a mountain in the Sierra de Irta, about two kilometres from Santa Magdalena de Pulpís. The area of the site exceeds 2,000 square metres, a notable extent for a mountain fortification. It forms part of the group of fortresses that watched over the coast and the passes of the range, and that elevated position explains its role within the defensive system. The surviving remains make it possible to recognise the perimeter of the enclosure and the layout of its defences. The distance of two kilometres from the village places it at a remote point, accessible from the centre of Santa Magdalena de Pulpís.
