Centro Sociocultural (antiguas escuelas)
A sociocultural centre housed in the town's former schools, with a projection room and spaces for workshops and neighbourhood events. It is home to the Vicente Llorens Castillo Reading Agency and a children's play library. It is Jalance's main municipal venue for cinema, talks and cultural activities.
The Centro Sociocultural in Jalance occupies the building of the former schools, on Pasaje Rafael López, and so keeps a public use in a construction linked to the town's history. Among its facilities it has a projection room. The centre also houses the Vicente Llorens Castillo Reading Agency, a nearby lending and reference service, and a children's play library. Having a projection room, a reading agency and a play library under one roof brings cultural, educational and leisure activities together in a single building. For all these reasons, the centre works as a meeting point for the community and as the municipal reference for social and cultural life.
