The Ermita de la Mare de Déu de la Font is a religious building constructed between the 16th and 17th centuries in Baroque style. It stands in the municipality of Castellfort, beside the road that runs from Castellfort to Ares. The hermitage is the reference building of a small municipality in the Els Ports region and brings the inhabitants together for the pilgrimages. Its surroundings are a landscape of flat-topped hills and pine woods, characteristic of this inland area. The construction retains the simplicity of rural religious architecture, with a compact volume that adapts to the terrain. The church thus maintains its role as a place of worship and gathering for the people of Castellfort.
