Museu de Medallística Enrique Giner
A museum devoted entirely to the art of the medal, housed since 1995 in the old hermitage of San Miguel, an 18th-century building. It brings together the legacy of the sculptor and medallist Enrique Giner and a collection of medals that spans from the middle of the 15th century to the present day.
The Museu de Medallística Enrique Giner was created in 1995 on the basis of the legacy of the sculptor and medallist Enrique Giner, the figure who gives the centre its name. Since then it has occupied the old hermitage of San Miguel, an 18th-century building adapted to serve as a museum. The institution is devoted entirely to the art of the medal and, according to the Nules town hall, it is the only museum in Spain dedicated to this discipline. The visit begins with the medallist's legacy, which forms the basis of the collection and explains the origin of the project. The building itself, an old 18th-century hermitage, is also part of what makes the visit worthwhile.
