What it is
It is not one party but a very long programme: concerts, street theatre, parades, neighbourhood fairs and the classic acts in the centre. The old names (the former Feria de Julio) run alongside music line-ups that change every year.
What to see and do
Three classics hold up the calendar. The concerts in the Viveros gardens, with Spanish and international artists night after night. The Batalla de Flores on the Alameda, where floats throw carnations at the crowd and which usually closes the fair. And the firework castles, normally set off on a Saturday.
