València's music summer runs from June to August, with almost everything packed into July: an open-air concert series by the sea at Marina Norte, the Viveros Concerts that form the musical half of the Feria de Julio (the city's July fair), a jazz festival at the Palau de la Música concert hall, and the big beach festivals down the coast in Cullera and Gandia. Dates and lineups for each edition are published months ahead on the festival's own website, and that is the only source worth trusting.

Which festivals there are, and when each falls

FAR València started in 2025 and takes over Marina Norte, an open-air site in the marina district by Malva-rosa beach, with concerts spread across July. Each night is a separate show with its own ticket, so it is closer to a concert series than a festival. Its 2026 edition, the second, ran more than twenty concerts between 8 and 31 July.

The Viveros Concerts are the music programme of the Gran Fira de València, the city's summer fair, and fill the Jardines de Viveros, a large park in the centre, also in July, with a bill of Spanish pop, classic rock and international names. The 2026 edition ran 18 nights, from 2 to 25 July.

  • Valencia Jazz Festival — Palau de la Música and its gardens, late June to late July. Indoor concerts plus several free open-air ones; 2026 was its 29th edition.
  • FAR València — Marina Norte, July.
  • Viveros Concerts — Jardines de Viveros, July, part of the July fair.
  • Zevra Festival — Cullera beach, July. Urban, reggaeton, trap and electronic; running since 2022.
  • Medusa Sunbeach — Cullera beach, August. Electronic, and the biggest crowd of the Valencian summer; running since 2014.
  • Pirata Beach Festival — Gandia, July. Rock, punk, rap and fusion; running since 2017.

Tickets and prices

The formats repeat every year even when prices move. At Viveros and FAR you buy per concert; at Zevra, Medusa and Pirata the norm is a multi-day pass, usually with a camping option; the jazz festival combines paid hall concerts with free ones in the gardens. As a reference from the last edition: in 2026 Viveros tickets started at 25 € and averaged around 37 €, and jazz tickets ran 10-35 €.

Getting there

Marina Norte sits next to Malva-rosa beach, reachable by metro and city bus; Viveros is in the centre beside the Turia Gardens. For Cullera and Gandia, the C-1 Cercanías (the local commuter train) links València with the southern coast, and beach festivals usually lay on shuttle buses from the station, depending on the edition. If you are weighing a car against public transport, see getting around València.

What else to do around it

Viveros backs onto the old town, and the seafront chiringuitos (beach bars) sit beside Marina Norte. For eating, start with the best paella; to cool off outside the city, the natural pools nearby. Cullera and Gandia also work as a day trip, and in August it helps to read what to do in València in August.

Practical tips

Well-known headliners sell out fast once tickets go on sale, so watch for the lineup announcement. At beach festivals bring sunscreen, a cap, water and comfortable shoes, and plan the way back (last shuttle, last train or a pre-booked taxi). One-off shows announced at short notice turn up in our events agenda.
