A former modernist market of iron and ceramics, spectacular and full of light, today reborn as an elegant gastronomic space of cafés, horchaterías, wine bars and terraces. Architectural beauty with a relaxed local vibe: perfect for a horchata, a vermut or a drink.

The Mercado de Colón was built by architect Francisco Mora between 1914 and 1916 for the bourgeois Ensanche of València —today it is a national monument (the building's details go into architectural detail)—, but fruit and vegetables are no longer bought among its iron and ceramic columns: today it is a space for cafes, horchaterías and wine bars.
The lower level concentrates the tapas bars and wine bars with more atmosphere; upstairs, on the terrace under the dome, a horchata or a vermouth at noon is the classic plan.
It is a convenient stop for mid-morning or aperitif, with no need to book a table.
