Barrio de la Morería

Neighborhood formed next to the wall after the granting of the Carta Puebla of 1248, when the Muslims who wanted to stay abandoned the interior of the walled enclosure. It lasted as a Muslim neighborhood until the expulsion of the Moors in 1609, and preserves its historical layout.
