Casa de la Paraula – Museu Francesc Ferrer Pastor
The birthplace of the lexicographer Francesc Ferrer Pastor (1918-2000), turned into a museum of the word. Ferrer Pastor wrote the Diccionari de la Rima (1956) and a Valencian-Castilian vocabulary, reference works in Valencian lexicography. The foundation was set up on 10 July 2008, and the space displays dictionaries, printing material and typewriters.
The Casa de la Paraula occupies the birthplace of Francesc Ferrer Pastor (1918-2000), a space devoted to the word and to the memory of the lexicographer. Ferrer Pastor published the Diccionari de la Rima in 1956 and, in 1968, a Valencian-Castilian vocabulary, two works consulted as references in Valencian lexicography. The foundation was set up on 10 July 2008 to preserve and spread that legacy. The site offers a way into the work of an author who spent his life among words and into the history of a town that remembers him in his birthplace.
