Casa de la Sirena
A fortified farmstead declared a Bien de Interés Cultural, one of the few remaining in l'Horta de València. The name comes from the coat of arms on the facade, with a woman surrounded by a serpent; the original is kept in the town hall. Although it is integrated into the nucleus of Benifaraig, the building belongs to the municipality of Alfara del Patriarca.
The Casa de la Sirena is a fortified farmstead declared a Bien de Interés Cultural and one of the few remaining in l'Horta de València. The name comes from the coat of arms on the facade, with a woman surrounded by a serpent; the original is kept in the town hall. Although it is integrated into the nucleus of Benifaraig, the building belongs to the municipality of Alfara del Patriarca. That administrative boundary helps explain the history of the huerta, made of neighbouring nuclei and interwoven municipalities. The building thus combines architectural, heraldic and territorial value.
