The Huerta chapel (Nuestra Señora de la Huerta) stands at the entrance to Ademuz. It is a 14th-century Gothic chapel and the oldest standing building in the village, older than the later reforms of the town churches.
History
The 14th-century chapel keeps the Gothic fabric of medieval Ademuz, from when the town worked its orchards by the Turia. Its plain nave plan places it among the earliest churches of the Rincón de Ademuz.
What to see
The interest lies in the architecture: stone walls, doorway and the mass of the Gothic nave. From around it you see the riverside orchards that give it its name. Combine the visit with the climb to Ademuz castle and the ruins of the Santa Bárbara chapel.
