The Església de la Nativitat is the parish church of Almassora and was built between 1685 and 1691 in the Baroque style. In 1864 the church was extended with the construction of the Chapel of the Communion, which enlarged its plan. It is listed as a Bien de Relevancia Local under the code 12.05.009-002. It is the main church of the town's historic centre and a reference point for understanding the religious architecture of the Plana Alta. Its fabric preserves the trace of the two building phases, the original Baroque one and the 19th-century extension.
