Església de Sant Andreu
Church of San Andrés, begun in 1746 and known as the Cathedral of the Ribera for its size. The neoclassical dome was finished in 1780 and the interior keeps frescoes by José Vergara. It was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2006; its bell tower leans slightly.
The church was begun in 1746 and its neoclassical dome was finished in 1780; frescoes by José Vergara are preserved inside. The bell tower leans slightly because of the rain that fell during its construction, a detail visible in its silhouette. The temple was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2006, a status that recognises its heritage value and protects the complex. The dome, completed in 1780, and the leaning bell tower are the two elements that best sum up the building's construction history, so it preserves features from two distinct construction periods.
