The Museu de la Pedra en Sec occupies the upper floor of the Gothic building of La Llotja, in Vilafranca. It opened on 14 October 2006 and was the first museum devoted to dry stone in the Valencian Community. The exhibition brings together tools, scale models and models that explain how dry stone constructions are raised, and it shows the different types of stone huts that appear in the landscape. The visit is completed by the audiovisual entitled Tota Pedra fa Paret, which documents the technique and its presence in the territory. The museum thus presents a traditional building craft and connects it with the landscape of the region.
