The Casa de la Cultura in Vilafranca is a building inaugurated in 1999, when Rogelio Tena was mayor. Its Carles Pons hall has 299 seats and a stage measuring 8 by 6 metres with a height of 4 metres, as well as sound, lighting and cinema equipment. The stage hosts the theatre of Capsigrany and of the Reclam showcase, the celebrations of Sant Antoni, concerts and the congresses held in the hall. The combination of seating capacity and technical equipment makes it possible to programme both performing arts and meetings and larger-format events. The building has formed part of the cultural life of Vilafranca since it opened.
