Municipal Museum of Quesa, built in 2000 with the legacy of Mercedes Rubio and European funds to preserve the work of Alberto Hernández and of Rubio herself. It brings together painting and work by both artists, born in 1910 and 1916, who developed their careers in Barcelona.
The Municipal Museum of Quesa was built in 2000 with the legacy of Mercedes Rubio and with European funds, in order to preserve the work of Alberto Hernández and of Rubio herself. It brings together painting and work by both artists, born in 1910 and 1916, who developed their careers in Barcelona. The collection therefore gathers the output of two creators linked to the municipality and makes it possible to know their work in a single space. The building arises from a donation and from institutional support, which explains its monographic character and its dedication to these two names.
