The Parc Natural de la Tinença de Benifassà is a protected area that extends across the north of the province of Castellón. The Consell de la Generalitat declared it a natural park on 19 May 2006. Within its boundaries it preserves mountain forests, ravines and old paths of the Tinença, which cross a varied relief. Those paths form part of the park's heritage and make it possible to cross the different environments that compose it, from the wooded areas to the ravines. The 2006 declaration established the protection status that today covers the whole of the forests, ravines and mountain paths of the Tinença.
