Mirador dels Rebalsadors

The Mirador dels Rebalsadors is a natural balcony on the Sierra Calderona, atop the Rebalsadors peak above the village of Serra. From the summit a 360-degree view opens over the natural park, and on clear days it reaches all the way to the sea in the distance. From here it is easy to see how the Mediterranean woodland, the inland villages and the Valencian coast fit together.

What to see

The view itself is the main draw: an open horizon in every direction, with the forested mass of the Calderona that spills toward the valleys. Beside the summit stands the Ventisquer or pou de la neu, an old snow store where winter cold was once kept and preserved through the year. It is a simple reminder of how the people who lived here made use of the mountain.

Tips for your visit

• Access is on foot: bring proper walking shoes, plenty of water and sun protection.
• Sunrise and late afternoon give the best light for the view.
• Pair it with other corners of the range, such as the Porta Coeli Charterhouse or the Garbí Viewpoint.
• Respect the protected setting: leave no litter and keep to the trails.
