Sombrerería Albero
A stone's throw from the Central Market and the Llotja, this hat shop opened in 1820 and has had six generations of the Albero family making and selling hats, caps and berets from the same corner. Stepping in is like walking into another era: wooden shelves up to the ceiling, old boxes, and a shopkeeper who measures your head and fits you the exact hat.
You don't have to buy anything to step in and browse, but let them advise you: they stock everything from the classic Valencian cap to proper Panama hats. Since you're right next door, grab your mid-morning almuerzo at the Central Market straight afterwards.
