Playa de Pinedo
South of the city, quieter and more open, where the dunes and pine groves begin. Ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle without going far from València.
South of the city, Pinedo beach is the first great stretch of open sand you reach once you leave the urban centre behind. Calmer and more open than the central beaches, it marks the point where València's coastline begins to loosen up: here the dunes and pine groves start, rolling south towards El Saler and the Albufera. It is the ideal spot to escape the bustle without really leaving the city.
The atmosphere
Pinedo has a more relaxed, family-friendly feel than the urban beaches to the north. The sand is wide and golden, the horizon clear, and the pace gentler: locals strolling, bathers looking for room to breathe and an open sea that invites you to switch off. Because it's a long beach, you can almost always find your own patch of sand even in high season.
Facilities
As one of València's urban beaches, it offers the usual seasonal services (promenade, easy access and supervised bathing areas) plus several restaurants and beach bars where you can eat rice dishes right by the water. Getting here from the centre is simple by car or public transport.
