How do you get to Gandia from València?
The easiest way is the train: the C-1 Cercanías line connects València Nord with Gandia station in about 1 hour. There are also ALSA coaches from Menéndez Pidal, and by car you take the AP-7 or the N-332.
How long does it take from València to Gandia?
The train takes about 1 hour. By car it's roughly 50-55 minutes on the motorway, and the bus takes a little over an hour depending on stops.
What is there to see in Gandia?
Start with the Palau Ducal dels Borja, the Borgia family's residence. Nearby are the Collegiate Church of Santa María (la Seu) and the Archaeology Museum (MAGa). Just outside town is the Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba, and if you fancy a climb there's the Castell de Bairén.
Is Gandia worth visiting with kids?
Yes. It makes an easy day trip: the old town can be covered on foot in a few hours, and in season Gandia beach has fine sand and calm water that suits families.
