How do you get to Cullera from València?
The Cercanías train, line C-1 (towards Gandia), leaves from València-Nord and runs direct. Cullera station is about 2 km from the centre, so you'll need the local bus from there. By car, take the AP-7 (Favara exit 59) or the N-332/A-38.
How long does it take from València to Cullera?
About 40 minutes by Cercanías train. By car, 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic, for the roughly 45 km.
What is there to see in Cullera?
Climbing up to Cullera Castle and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Castle is the highlight, with views over the mouth of the Júcar. The lighthouse and Mirador del Cabo, the quirky Pirate Dragut Cave-Museum and the Barri del Pou old quarter are worth a look too.
Is Cullera worth it for a day trip with kids?
Yes. There are wide sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and the walk up to the castle, which kids usually enjoy for the views and the pirate cave. Doing it there and back by train in a day is easy enough.
