Almazara del Conde
A historic oil mill integrated into the palace house complex of Sot de Chera, which kept its use until recent times. Together with the tower and the church it forms the heritage core of the old town, whose network of narrow streets and adarves comes from the old fortified Arab farmstead.
The Almazara del Conde forms part of the palace house of Sot de Chera and remained in use until recent times. Together with the tower and the church it makes up the heritage core of the old town. The urban layout of narrow streets and adarves comes from the old fortified Arab farmstead, and the historic irrigation system is still in use. These elements allow the imprint of the former organisation of the settlement to be read in today's town plan. The complex thus preserves a material testimony of farming activity and of the organisation of the old town, visible in the street pattern and in the irrigation system that still works.
