Castell d'Eslida
A castle on top of a crag that crowns the image of the village, today in ruins. It has an irregular polygonal plan and a triangular keep, possibly one of only two examples of triangular Muslim towers in the Valencian Community. It joined al-Azraq's revolt in 1247.
The Castell d'Eslida crowns the image of the village from the top of a crag, and today only ruins survive. Its plan is an irregular polygon and it has a keep with a triangular ground plan. Together with the Castillo de la Muela de Novelda, it may be the only example of a triangular Muslim tower in the Valencian Community. In 1247 the castle joined the revolt of al-Azraq. The elevated position and the shape of the enclosure make it possible to understand how the defence of the place was organised, and the triangular tower is the most unusual element of the complex.
