Ermita de la Virgen del Mar

Perched on the cliff of Punta Canfali, above Poniente beach, the Ermita de la Virgen del Mar (Hermitage of the Virgin of the Sea) offers one of the most beautiful views over the Mediterranean in Benidorm. It is a small, light-filled chapel, simple in form, that seems to float above the water from the celebrated Balcón del Mediterráneo.

Inside is the image of the Virgin of the Sea cradling the Christ Child, traditionally venerated as the protector of sailors and all who live from the sea.
