Església de Sant Llorenç
Church of San Lorenzo Mártir, built in 1695 over an old mosque and finished in 1701. The Baroque chapel of the Communion stands out, with stucco work and paintings, and the temple is today one of the main landmarks of Alberic's religious heritage and of its main square.
The church was built in 1695 over an old mosque and finished in 1701. The mosque was converted into a church dedicated to San Lorenzo, so the temple preserves the memory of that change of use. The Communion chapel stands out, Baroque in style, with stucco work and paintings that are among its main attractions. The building is today a reference of the religious heritage of Alberic and presides over the main square, around which the historic centre is organised. The building therefore preserves the trace of that change of use.
