Gorgo Gaspar
A natural pool and small waterfall in the gorge of the Anna river, the first major stop on the popular Three Waterfalls Route. An old waterwheel here once powered a now-vanished textile mill, and the water, fed from Anna's Albufera, is still the star of the spot.
In the early 20th century a waterwheel here drove the water of a textile factory that no longer stands. That corner is Gorgo Gaspar, a natural pool with a small drop in the gorge of the Anna river in Anna, the first stop on the Three Waterfalls Route.
What to see
The water comes down from Anna's Albufera and runs all year, so the gorge stays green even in mid-August. The walk begins here, next to an information panel at the end of Avenida de la Diputación, and from this point the path carries on toward the Cascada de los Vikingos.
Visiting tips
The full route is about 3 kilometres of moderate difficulty with some climbing, so wear proper hiking shoes. It is a walking path, not a place to set up coolers and chairs. If you want water without the walk, the village itself has the Anna lake.
