Monestir del Corpus Christi (Auditori)
Former seventeenth-century Dominican monastery turned municipal auditorium. Of the whole complex only the church remains, finished in 1689, with a single nave, barrel vault and neoclassical facade. The town council acquired it in 1979 and remodelled it as a performance space, now part of the local cultural programme.
The monastery dates from 1654, and of the whole monastic complex only its church survives today, finished in 1689. The property became municipal in 1979 and was converted into an auditorium, so the former Dominican temple now works as a performance space. The Auditorium is listed among the municipal cultural infrastructures, that is, among the facilities the council devotes to culture and local programming. A religious building of Dominican origin has thus been absorbed into the cultural life of the town, and it combines a seventeenth-century religious origin with a late twentieth-century cultural use.
